Meanwhile most of use are somewhere in between (GAH school starts on Monday >_<; ), but regardless of how your 2009 ended, may your 2010 be even brighter.

Happy bleated birthday to Vera and Gwen, which I missed, and to whomever's birthday it was between now and the last season, or today, if today is your birthday. I don't have the time for birthday pictures anymore! How sad. So I'll just say I wish you all a happy birthday if it's around this time of year.

In older news, my Christmas was nice this year, I got to see old school friends (lucky we could schedule it so last minute, thanks girls!) and family, and thanks for your bleated gift

I wish who are still waiting for their Secret Santas to hang in there, I hope you guys/girls get your gifts soon.

Life does not appear to be giving me more spare time. Between school, writing RAVEN, Psyche and another story for a job offer, lessons for and commissions, hopefully I can still make room for illustrations.

The deal goes like this:

I will draw one bust shot (above the waist or chest) per side of the item. You can send me an item, or choose from what I have in stock.

Payment is by paypal only, in US Dollars, shipping is included in the prices below, and for now, I'm open to wherever you are in the world. If you're an experienced buyer/seller, let me know if I'm doing anything stupid, it will be greatly appreciated.

Items in stock include 4 zippered pockets ($30 one side, $35 for both), 1 cushion cover ($45 one side, $60 for both), and 9 shirts ($45 one side, $60 for both):

1. Character image or text reference, detailing any bubbles, stars or action pose, yadda, yadda.
2. Item choice, preferably light-colored, canvas, cotton or other not-very-stretchy material (you can ask if you're unsure).

First come, first serve, and if I send you a sketch, you send the payment, and I'll send the finished piece. Time frame is approximately a month and a half (for all the drying, washing and mailing). Shirts will be heat set and given a wash to check for bleeding. Other surfaces will be coated accordingly.

Hey folks, remember last year when I wrote "to who it may concern" for a "secret" Secret Santa?

Well that person who it actually did concern never finished the end of the bargain, so thanks again to all of you who graciously did fanart of Zy and Ria for me.

This year, to my Secret Santa, I'd like fanart of Zitami and Erica.

WARNING TLDR:---------

I don't actually know how they met. They're an artsy trope-savvy kind of middle class couple, in their late teens starting college, and any flowers, chocolate, candle-lit dinners or jewelery will be appreciated but also turned into a joke, played and exaggerated. Erica's family runs a tailoring shop in Twakri (she helps out occasionally and likes to make flamboyant costumes). She loves kitschy things to see if they make other people squirm.

Zitami sings and plays the guitar (I have yet to upload a picture, he was originally providing the music on this page, but we decided Raven's cameo was more relevant) once a week at Kaoru's Restaurant, where Erica works part time as a waitress. Zitami currently lives with his grandfather who runs a travel agency (he knows all the touristy places), and the rest of his family (brother, parents, cousins, etc.) live in Meldai, Earth (which is basically the neighbouring nation, empire, what-have-you). He goes back every summer.

YE GODS I haven't updated my journal in more than a month!

Well if anyone cares to know what I've been up to, it basically consists of aikido, class, reading, more class, more reading, papers, studying, group project, oh, and have I mentioned reading? I also managed to color some RAVEN pages in there, and worked on Fanservice Memes, but not much else.

Why did you join this site?

Because everyone from Digital-Yume oekaki was moving over to DA (fear the n00bs!) back in 2003, so I thought I'd follow the herd.

What does your username have to do with you? Is it a combination of your favorite things, or a character of yours?

Well Achiru is a name I came up with by plugging my name into one of those Japanese name generating thingmajigs and then scrambling the letters around and chopping it up until I got something that resembled a name that had a ring to it. Seriously. And this was for a character that was, in all respects, me, not a avatar like Acorn who got fed up with identity issues since she wasn't me. Ha ha...

Xei and Vera... I haven't updated it in a while. That was from the days of OMG I THOUGHT YOU AND VAL WAIT WHAT? (For new watchers, I'm sure you're smart enough to figure this out from my gallery.)

I'm not that popular, so I haven't encountered anything more annoying than the spam notes asking me to beware of someone adding me to their buddy list.

I don't pay any attention to them, which is probably why I can't recall any right now.

What inspires you?

I have not a clue. It could be anything: from conversation, taking a walk, observing scenery, contemplating music, watching videos on youtube, class, papers, research, books, looking at other people's work, listening to people or eavesdropping, watching people's mannerisms, playing sports, dance, meditation, day-dreaming, asking questions, trying to figure out what happens next.

Do you use any traditional media?

CRAYOLA MARKERS. Okay, not that often. Watercolors, and watercolor pencils. Chinese inks. Acrylic paint. Sharpies. I use pencil for 99.9% if my line work.

I double-take when they change.

I don't acknowledge the existence of Daily Deviations, let alone suggest them. I'm grateful for those who have suggested my work, but on a personal note, there's more to life than getting a DD. It's not on my priority list. I'm just thankful that I can upload whatever I like, and that some kind folks care enough to give me feedback. Thanks very much for your comments!

Everyone has considered leaving DA once or twice. Have you? Why?

I have not. Maybe it's because I'm not popular enough to have the massive flaming, thieving or drama issues, or I tend to keep my opinions on world affairs quiet, but I'm pretty laid back when it comes to that sort of thing. It's fun to watch play out. The only issues I've had with thieves concern old fanart I don't care about anymore. Thanks to all of you who notify me of where my work ended up, I do like to find out. It keeps life interesting.
