YE GODS I haven't updated my journal in more than a month!
Well if anyone cares to know what I've been up to, it basically consists of aikido, class, reading, more class, more reading, papers, studying, group project, oh, and have I mentioned reading? I also managed to color some RAVEN pages in there, and worked on Fanservice Memes, but not much else.
Anyway, since it's a long weekend and I'm going to do nothing serious today, I figured I'd fill out this thing all over other people's journals:
Why did you join this site?Because everyone from Digital-Yume oekaki was moving over to DA (fear the n00bs!) back in 2003, so I thought I'd follow the herd.
What does your username have to do with you? Is it a combination of your favorite things, or a character of yours?Well Achiru is a name I came up with by plugging my name into one of those Japanese name generating thingmajigs and then scrambling the letters around and chopping it up until I got something that resembled a name that had a ring to it. Seriously. And this was for a character that was, in all respects, me, not a avatar like Acorn who got fed up with identity issues since she wasn't me. Ha ha...
What is your current icon of?Xei and Vera... I haven't updated it in a while. That was from the days of OMG I THOUGHT YOU AND VAL WAIT WHAT? (For new watchers, I'm sure you're smart enough to figure this out from my gallery.)
How many watchers do you have and how many people are you currently watching?Apparently 3,600 people are stalking me. Which is an AMAZINGLY round number. I watch 88 people officially, and then there's the people I stalk unofficially (because I CAN).

How many hours a day do you spend on DA?Minimum 1 for message checking/clearing; Maximum 3 for responding to messages; occasionally none if I'm away or busy; sometimes more if I find the time to just browse works.

What is the most annoying thing people ask you?I'm not that popular, so I haven't encountered anything more annoying than the spam notes asking me to beware of someone adding me to their buddy list.
What is the most annoying comment you get?I don't pay any attention to them, which is probably why I can't recall any right now.
What inspires you?I have not a clue. It could be anything: from conversation, taking a walk, observing scenery, contemplating music, watching videos on youtube, class, papers, research, books, looking at other people's work, listening to people or eavesdropping, watching people's mannerisms, playing sports, dance, meditation, day-dreaming, asking questions, trying to figure out what happens next.
Do you use any traditional media?CRAYOLA MARKERS. Okay, not that often. Watercolors, and watercolor pencils. Chinese inks. Acrylic paint. Sharpies. I use pencil for 99.9% if my line work.
Do you associate people online with their icons?I double-take when they change.
Have you ever suggested a Daily Deviation?I don't acknowledge the existence of Daily Deviations, let alone suggest them. I'm grateful for those who have suggested my work, but on a personal note, there's more to life than getting a DD. It's not on my priority list. I'm just thankful that I can upload whatever I like, and that some kind folks care enough to give me feedback. Thanks very much for your comments!
Everyone has considered leaving DA once or twice. Have you? Why?I have not. Maybe it's because I'm not popular enough to have the massive flaming, thieving or drama issues, or I tend to keep my opinions on world affairs quiet, but I'm pretty laid back when it comes to that sort of thing. It's fun to watch play out. The only issues I've had with thieves concern old fanart I don't care about anymore. Thanks to all of you who notify me of where my work ended up, I do like to find out. It keeps life interesting.
